For the first time in my life, I seriously thought about screenwriting. Told my one story, I Trusted You, would make a perfect movie. I was told my writing style lent itself to screenplays. Sometimes I need a push, or four, before I do what needs to be done. Not that pushing this stubborn, procrastinating Aries is a bad thing. One person saw something in my writing no one else had and pushed me to my limits. My heart, fragile and insecure, was too afraid to try.Īs an adult, I jumped feet first into the blogging, then pool and shared my stories with the world. That my future rested in screenwriting, movies, or television. Haven’t been little in a long time, except for the apprehension I felt towards screenwriting.Įvery part of myself told me repeatedly that I needed to write screenplays. One thing, in all her years of writing stories and imaging worlds, she wanted to do but was too afraid to try was screenwriting. It’s a good thing she can (usually) make sense of her written ramblings, because everyone else would be more lost than Alice in Wonderland. Inspiration hits and those pages fill up. Every notebook, every stray sheet of paper, was fair game to write a story on… and write on them she did. Only writing.īy the time this girl was eight, no piece of paper was safe. Read books like birds ate seeds, insanely fast and more than her body weight in a day. Taught herself to read and write at five, thank you Sesame Street, and never looked back. The two workshops will start on Tuesday, January 10th from 11 am – 2 pm PST and Wednesday, January 11th from 6 pm – 9 pm PST. ![]() Tim’s next round of classes begins in January. At that time, Tim will do a full read of your completed script with page notes and a one hour private call to discuss the notes and brainstorm on next steps for you to take creatively and professionally. By the end of the ten weeks you’ll have a completed draft. Not only will you get weekly notes from Tim, but also from your talented classmates. Each week you’ll email out your assignment to your classmates, read each other’s work, then participate in a group Zoom call to critique, discuss, and brainstorm. ![]() In Tim’s 10 week film and TV writing workshop you can write a new feature, rewrite an old one, or write that original TV pilot that has been percolating in your head. ![]()
